9. When I see people I have not seen in years in town I duck and hide so I do not have to sit and recap my life since the last time I saw them.(terrible I know!) Unless it was unavoidable and they saw me first :o(

DOG
Ok, so I mentioned that we went and looked at some pudelpointers last weekend, but I think I neglected to mention that we went to the humane society...
Granny and Gramps had a little dog named Muffin and it must have been 5 YEARS AGO, that she died of old age and they have been "looking" for a dog for like 2 years! Granny finally found the "perfect" little dog online from a rescue. So she filled out like a five page application.... to get denied. The Rescue said they were too old and the dog would most likely outlive them! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!! That would have been the PERFECT home for any dog! I was so furious! Granny was crushed!
ANYWAY, I found a dog online that was at the Humane Society here in Bend. We went to look at the Pudelpointers last weekend and it ended up that the guy with the dogs lives RIGHT accross the road from the Humane Society.... We decided to stop to look at this little dog. She was so cute and sweet, she is a fetching machine so Grandpa could go play with her in the yard... I called mom (she had to make the "final" decision) and made her come to Bend and look, anyway, we ended up taking the dog home with us :o) I finally get to write about it becasue mom just told Granny about the dog :o)
Hopefully she likes her because we do not need another dog! Everyone keep your fingers and toes crossed!
She weighs about 20 pounds. She is smaller than the photo makes her look...

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON
Stetson has this week off from class (for Spring break), then one week back and then NO MORE SCHOOL UNTIL SEPTEMBER! Yahoo!
He is in an Electician Apprenticeship and he has class Mon. and Wed. nights in Bend from 6-9pm. It stinks! The good news is he's half way done! 2 years down, 2 to go! The class starts in September and goes until early April and he gets a month off for Christmas, so it is not THAT terrible, but it sure is nice to have him home Mon. and Wed. nights! :o)

EASTER
What an event filled weekend we just had!
Friday we watched a movie at home and laid low. It seems lately we like to protect our Friday nights. It is so nice just to lounge around, have a drink and unwind from the long week.
Saturday we went to Bend and looked at the Pudelpointers. We saw three different dogs, all of which were very different. They ranged in size, hair length, hair density and color! They are a bit of a steriod dog. 90 miles an hour, although they did eventually mellow out. When we left we were extremely glad we went, we got SO MUCH information, but we were not 100% sold on the dog.... so we'll see. Stetson wants to go hunt with a few different breeds of dogs and see what he like/does not like, ect. Saturday night we went up to my Aunt Sharron's house for dinner and it was wonderful and low key :o)
Sunday I got to do some house cleaning until noon, then at 1:00 we went to my Aunt Wendy's for brunch. They hid eggs for the kids. They informed me that I was no longer a kid and could not hunt easter eggs :o( Bummer! One of the kids gave me a Cadburry Egg (however you spell that) BIG SCORE! :o)
Another weekend down.....
Now I am headed to the tanning bed. Our office is so cold I have to go tan to get warm! Good thing they are right accross the street and I can go on my break!

WEEKENDS ARE JUST NOT LONG ENOUGH!
Well, to wrap the weekend up...
Friday we watched a movie, ate leftovers and lounged around on the couch. (I know Leftovers sounds pretty effortless, but Thursday night I spent almost 2 hours in the kitchen making Stetson's favorite, Elk Parmesan. He only gets it like twice a year. So I was taking the night off from the kitchen. Not to mention Stetson HATES leftovers, The only two recipes I have that I can get him to eat the next day are 1. Elk Parmesan 2. enchilladas)
Saturday we did the wedding thing. On the way home we drove through West Powell Butte Estates. I drive by there everytime I drive to Redmond from work and I was really curious as to what was back there. Very nice development with HUGE HOMES (the homes we could see anyway, most were set way back) almost all the homes had either a massive barn or shop, they were 20 acre lots. SUPER NICE! Now I know I can't afford to live there :o) Ha ha! Lots are listed at $400,000, homes over a million.... Being in Real Estate makes you curious to look at different developments. Stetson laughed about the fact that he would not want to live there. Not quite rural enough for him.
Sunday, I spent the day at COBRA (Central Oregon Barrel Racers Assoc) Cuda did really well, I was super happy with him! We watched "Along came a spider" It's an older Morgan Freeman movie. It was pretty good. 3 Stars for me.
And, that my friends, was my weekend.

WE MADE IT, IT'S FRIDAY!
*See below for an explanation* :o)
What a long week! I am so excited that the weekend is finally among us! YAHOO!!!Wedding season is already here. Our kickoff wedding is this Saturday and then let the weddings begin! he he! We already have like 2 a month all through summer! WOW! No invites yet, those are just the ones we know about in advance! We must just be at the age where all of our friends are getting married! Whew! It's a good thing we enjoy the little social gatherings.
*Ok, now to explain the photo below :o) I am really looking forward to next weekend... I have Stetson somewhat excited about getting a bird dog for his next dog. I have done A LOT of research and I found a breed that perks our interest, it's a pudelpointer :o) When Stet gets a dog, he really wanted a dog that would point while hunting upland birds and he would also like a dog that he could duck hunt with in the winter cold icy water... I only found three breeds that fit the bill! So, there is a guy in Bend that has a batch of pups a year and we are interested in a pup in Spring of 09 :o) Yes, I know, Long way out.... But that gives Stetson time to really get into hunting and it gives him a chance to go out with other (more typical breeds) and see how they work. Next weekend we are going to go visit the breeder to get a feel for the temprement of the dog. Should be fun! I think I am a little more excited than Stet, he he!

SPRINGTIME

It finally feels like Spring has arrived! Last weekend was so nice Stet and I spent a number of hours raking up leaves and dragging off tree branches! It was great! I went and bought some Lily bulbs, I am hoping they do better than last year! I think I neglected to water them... Oops!We are already starting to fill summer weekends with plans :o) I CAN'T WAIT TIL SUMMER! I am so tired of being cold. I want to be able to make the switch from hot coffee to iced coffee!
